The ADAG (Aircaft Design & AeroflightDynamics Group) research group includes professors, researchers and technicians with expertise in the fields of aerospace and naval engineering. The group manages the subsonic wind tunnel and the towing tank of the Department. Since 1998 several research projects have dealt with systems of renewable energy generation, including those harnessing marine resources. The group also collaborates with the no-profit consortium Seapower Scarl. In the last 25 years of activity the group has been involved in many fields of research including: computational and experimental aerodynamics, flight technologies (general aviation, ultra light aircraft, UAV), wind- and hydro-turbine design (horizontal and vertical axis), naval architecture, computational and experimental hydrodynamics. The group holds a number of patents and is involved in many research projects and collaborations with both private companies and public institutions. For further information: www.adag.unina.it
