Valeria Solesin Award to Frederican Tonia Stiuso

It is Tonia Stiuso, a graduate in Construction Engineering-Architecture, from the University of Frederick the winner of the 2023 edition of the Valeria Solesin Prize, sponsored by the Meritocracy Foundation.The prize is named after the Italian researcher who was the victim of an attack on Nov. 13, 2015, in the Bataclan Theater in Paris, and is inspired both by the 28-year-old Venetian woman's studies on the dual role of women between family and work, and by other contemporary surveys affecting women.

Dr. Stiuso participated with a dissertation in Urban Planning Technology titled "Spatial Governance for Improving Women's Safety in Urban Areas. An application to the City of Naples" carried out at the Territory, Mobility and Environment Laboratory (TeMA Lab) of the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering (DICEA), whose supervisor was Professor Gerardo Carpentieriand co-rapporteur, Professor Carmen Guida.
