Filter semester for medical students starts Sept. 1

The filter semester for students enrolled in the single-cycle master's degree programs in Medicine and Surgery (LM-41), Medicine and Surgery (Technological) - Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics (LM-46) and Veterinary Medicine (LM-42) will start on Sept. 1.

At theUniversity of Naples Federico II for the first five weeks, and thus from September 1 to October 3, the teaching activities will take place entirely in-person at the University's locations, while from October 6 and until the conclusion of the lectures, the lectures will be entirely remotely in synchronous mode.

Students for all information and to be updated can consult FILTER SEMESTER.

The filter semester is a period of initial training that precedes the actual matriculation to medical courses, established by the recent reform that provides for the abolition of entrance tests. It is open access with concurrent enrollment in another related course of study.

Registration can be done online at the Universitaly portal until Friday, July 25, 2025. The filter semester involves taking exams in three subjects: Chemistry and Biochemistry propaedeutics, Physics and Biology.
