Those who enroll at Federico II can also attend F2 Radio Lab, the official web radio of the Neapolitan University, unique, of its kind, in the Italian university radio scene.

A real radio laboratory through a training course by professional operators in the field for figures such as speakers, directors, music programmers, editors.

Created in 2004 and active since 2006, F2 Radio Lab is a pathway for all Federiciani students enrolled in any course of study. To participate, it is necessary to pass a motivational interview and be in good standing with the course of study. Then the theoretical phase will take place with classes in the classroom and at F2 Radio Lab's studios in Via Mezzocannone 8.

At the end of the training course, students will be ready to host programs such as Workshow, a daily infotainment container on cultural, scientific as well as other formats they have conceived and designed.

Since 2006, the Lab has trained more than 400 students as speakers, editors, sound engineers, post-production technicians and music programmers.

For some students this experience has also become a real profession, for others it has been a path to discover hidden talents, overcome shyness and improve interpersonal skills.

The Radio has also won numerous awards at the "FRU - Festival of University Radio" held annually in Italy, including the award for best podcast in 2024 with 'It's never too boomer' and for best voice in 2025.

In addition, in 2026, F2 Radio Lab will turn 20 years old and will host FRU on the occasion in the Federiciana building in San Marcellino.
