'Wellness between art, sport and movement. ProBen-APP-wellbeing'
To promote psychophysical well-being, counteract psychological distress and pathological addictions of male and female university students through motor-sport, artistic and expressive activities aimed at fostering the development of the values of inclusion and participation, but above all, the ability to create relationships with themselves and others.
This is the goal of the inter-university project"APPwell-being: a networked and systemic approach to the promotion of the psychophysical well-being of the student population," funded by the MUR, which brings together in partnership the University Federico II, as lead partner, with all the universities of Campania: Università degli Studi del Sannio, Università degli Studi della Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli," Università degli Studi di Napoli l'Orientale, Università degli Studi di Napoli Parthenope, Università degli Studi di Salerno, Università degli Studi Suor Orsola Benincasa, Scuola Superiore Meridionale and two Neapolitan AFAMs, the Conservatorio di San Pietro a Majello and the Accademia delle Belle Arti.
'Wellness between art, sport and movement. ProBen-APPbenessere' is the title of the day-long presentation of the Project's activities to be held on Feb. 27, 2025 from 9 a.m. in the Aula Magna of Parthenope University, on the main campus at 38 Via Acton.
The morning will be opened with greetings from Antonio Garofalo, Rector of the University of Naples Parthenope, Domenico Tafuri, Director of the Department of Medical, Motor and Wellness Sciences - University of Naples Parthenope, Rita Mastrullo, Coordinator of the APPbenessere Project - ProBen - University of Naples Federico II, Pasqualina Buono, Pro-Rector for Sport and Active Lifestyles - University of Naples Parthenope, Cilaudio Porzio, Pro-Rector for Welfare and Sustainability - University of Naples Parthenope, Emanuela Ferrante, Councillor for Sport and Equal Opportunities of the City of Naples.
The program includes the presentation of the many workshops to which university students from all over Campania and the two AFAMs involved will be able to register for free. The activities, which will kick off on March 7 and continue until July 2025, include traditional and holistic sports disciplines.
Also on the APPwellness project's calendar of activities are as many as thirty workshops experimenting with different forms of expressive art to build wellness, which students can register for free through staichill.it.
