"Apex in Play," first edition

The 1st edition of "Apice in Gioco" will be held at Hector's Castle in Old Apice (BN), Sept. 13 and 14, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. . The themed event includes board games, role-playing, comic books and illustration, reading, voice acting, magical stories, softair entertainment, cosplay and much more. It will be a carefree Saturday and Sunday with family, kids and friends. Special guest speaker Carlo Valli, Italian voice actor Robin Williams. On both days, Carlo Valli, who voiced the MetaBook of "Soeliok," will read excerpts from the trilogy expertly written by ZoneCreative's Daniele Barioglio, a fantastical adventure based on real and current values such as fear-courage, diversity-resource, family-love and borders-migrations. Stories are woven into the lands populated by their inhabitants in a superlative tale. For the occasion, the tower of Hector Castle will host an exhibition of contemporary painting and sculpture. An evocative dialogue between history and the art of the present. Exhibiting will be: Antonio Frusciante, Mario Mascia, Angelo Pescatore, Donato Licciardi - Artists and Teachers with different languages crossing exploring matter, form and vision. On the second floor, the reading of the playbook "It wasn't them" by Andrea Angiolino (former author of several playbooks and board games) for a European Community project in collaboration with Relation Research, Knowledge & Education Against Antisemitism and Centro Studi Villa Montesca Fondazione. A special room with setting dedicated to Harry Potter. The Softair section, outside the castle, with demonstrations and activities for enthusiasts and the curious, will be curated by ASD P4RABELLVM, with small prizes and gadgets to be won. In addition, there will be the presence of Origo market, a digital platform that through its online marketplace and presence at events in the area, supports small and medium-sized farms, artisans of taste and local producers, transforming consumption into a cultural as well as food experience.
