From Sept. 25-27, 2025, the 21st National Congress of the Section of Psychology for Organizations of the Italian Psychology Association will be held at the Frederican Department of Humanities. The event, which will be held in Naples for the first time, features Vincenza Capone, professor of Psychology for Organizations at the University of Frederick, as coordinator of the organizing committee.
The Congress, which is entitled "The future that is already there: organizational change between professional identity, well-being, inclusion and artificial intelligence," will have as its central theme organizational change as a challenge and opportunity to rethink work and organizations in the era of the digital and social revolution.
Over the course of the three days, strategic issues for the Psychology of Organizations and for those working in the field of work and human resources will be addressed , including professional identity, well-being and work inclusion, artificial intelligence, career development and sustainability, with a focus on the challenges that artificial intelligence poses to work processes, recruitment policies, and the meaning of work and professional identity.
The opening is scheduled for Sept. 25 at 10 a.m., at the Piovani Lecture Hall of the Department of Humanities (Via Porta di Massa, 1 - Naples), with working sessions hosted in the department's historic classrooms and main spaces. The final day, on Sept. 27, will be held at the Partenope Conference Center (via Partenope, 36).
The program, sponsored by the Order of Psychologists of Campania, will see the participation of more than 200 scholars and scholars from all over Italy.
Among the various moments of note, on the afternoon of September 25, there will be a round table discussion, organized by Professors Guido Capaldo and Vincenza Capone, which will see academics, stakeholders and representatives of the Order of Psychologists discuss organizational change related to the emergence of AI.
On the morning of the 26th is scheduled the lectio magistralis of Prof. Yash Raj Shrestha (Head of Applied AI Lab, University of Lausanne), who will discuss the implications of Generative Artificial Intelligence on content creation and in scientific research, highlighting the opportunities for innovation and the ethical, organizational and epistemological challenges that arise.
Closing the proceedings is Antonio Pescapè, professor of Information Processing Systems at Federico II University and director of DIGITA Academy.
During the Congress, prizes will be awarded for the best doctoral thesis, the best scientific article and the best contribution presented, recognizing excellence in research and innovation in the studies of Psychology of Organizations. There will also be the "The Person is Future" award, given by APCO - Italian Professional Association of Management Consultants and the Italian Association of Psychology to the best scientific article on the topic of people management.
The Congress aims to be a moment of confrontation not only for experts in the field, but also for female and male students who will be able to enrich their training by directly confronting the national and international scientific community.
