As part of the orientation activities promoted by the Penitentiary University Pole of the University of Naples Federico II, this year saw the second edition of the "Valiamo la pena" project, curated by Dr. Bianca Florio, of the P.U.P.'s Education and Student Secretariat Area.
The initiative aimed to make possible, also for the Poggioreale Prison, the activities now established at the PUP of Secondigliano, creating a real orientation in prison. The University provides them with informative and interactive days on the courses of study and initiatives planned by the PUP, providing them with the opportunity for knowledge, awareness and choice.
The idea was to dedicate prison orientation meetings for each degree program present at the Secondigliano PUP.

As for the Department of Architecture, which has Director Marella Santangelo as the rectoral delegate for the PUP, four meetings were held by Professor Massimo Visone as part of the seminar entitled: "The History of the City of Naples, a World Heritage Site," which was also held in a reduced format in the gymnasium of the PUP headquarters in Secondigliano.
The course saw the active participation of about 20 inmates, who gathered between February and March at the Poggioreale library. The history of Naples, which this year celebrates 2,500 years since its founding, was covered. The aim was to go beyond stereotypes and make people understand that the city is not just an asset for a few, but an asset for all and an opportunity for the community to grow.

At the conclusion of the lecture series, some of the inmates will be allowed to visit the Gallerie d'Italia in Naples in July. In the museum they will be able to see for themselves some of the views illustrated during the seminar and have the opportunity to experience firsthand the beauty of the city's cultural, artistic and architectural heritage. The museum has enthusiastically accepted the PUP's proposal, falling fully within its policy of inclusiveness. During the visit, they will be able to observe a rich collection ranging from ancient vases to modern and up to contemporary painting, in line with what they heard at the seminar.
