An Award for the Best Theses on Gender Equality
Recognize the value of academic research as a tool for knowledge and cultural change. Applications due by October 15, 2026
The University of Naples Federico II, as part of the initiatives outlined in the University’s Gender Equality Plan (GEP) 2025–2027, and specifically Action No. 20, is promoting an initiative dedicated to highlighting studies and research on gender equality.
A prize worth 2,000 euros has been announced for the best doctoral dissertation, Level II master’s thesis, or specialization diploma that has incorporated and explored the gender dimension in its research.
The initiative was created with the goal of promoting and spreading a culture of equal opportunity in academic and professional settings, while also fostering greater awareness of issues related to combating discrimination and violence, respecting human rights, gender equality, and promoting diversity.
The award is open to those who have earned one of the degrees specified in the call for applications — Ph.D., Level II Master’s Degree, or Specialization Diploma —during the three academic years preceding the year the call for applications was issued or during the 2025–2026 academic year, which is ongoing as of the date of publication of the call. Applicants must have defended a thesis addressing the topics specified in Article 1 of the call for applications.
Applications must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. on October 15, 2026.
