A world of hoaxes: new contributions from the Department of Veterinary Medicine's scientific journal

un

The September 2025 issue of 'A World of Hoaxes' takes us once again to discover stories, ideas and reflections that unite scientific research, health and society.

Federica Capano and Carmen Cabato, Fellows of the Food Inspection Group, take us on a journey between research and territory, reminding us how important it is to tell science in simple and concrete words that can really dialogue with local communities.

From the Master of Science Dissemination and Communication in Public Health (DISCI) come two thought-provoking contributions: with Antonio Ramaglia makes us reflect on how our "modern" lifestyle is changing the way we eat, increasingly oriented toward ready-made and packaged foods; while Benedetto Neola shows us how the freelance veterinary doctor is a true presidium of health care, able to face complex challenges thanks to collaboration and good communication.

We close with a crucial topic for all: food safety. In collaboration with the Scientific Café, Maria Francesca Peruzy and Nicoletta Murru explain the link between food and antibiotic resistance, a silent threat that can have major repercussions on public health.

Contributions will be posted on the Department's official social profiles(Facebook and Instagram) in the coming weeks.
