Universities, as educational and research institutions, are required to implement actions and policies aimed at ensuring gender equality and removing obstacles that prevent the full personal and professional realization of men and women. To this end, the Gender Balance Sheet is the tool of choice for pursuing equality goals. But more than a document, it is a real articulated process that requires significant involvement of the University's governance, through a path of institutionalization of the approach to gender issues.

The purpose of this analysis is to present from a gender perspective the outcomes of the survey of students' opinions, conducted periodically in the Federico II University (Law 370/99), regarding the educational activities provided.

Compared to the first exercise carried out for the 2nd edition of the Federico II Gender Balance Sheet, the current analysis was developed in a diachronic line and therefore took into consideration a broader time span, relating to the last available three-year period (academic years: 2020/21 - 2021/22 - 2022/23); this was done with the aim of enhancing the internal consistency of the respective data sets. Additional interpretive aspects also emerged fromdeepening the analysis from an intersectionality perspective with a focus on the foreign student population, compared with the overall findings. The information base collected thus constitutes a useful tool for identifying some specificities that can contribute to the pursuit of gender equality goals.

The Federico II Gender Balance is available in open access version at the link.
