"Naples à travers Le Corbusier" concludes.
It will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025 from 4:30 p.m. at the Church of Saints Demetrius and Boniface, Piazzetta Teodoro Monticelli, 6, the concluding event of "Napoli à travers Le Corbusier," the niziative of F2 Cultura, curated by Roberta Amirante and Orfina Fatigato with Simona Capaldo who oversaw the exhibition design.
On the 60th anniversary of the death of the great Swiss architect, and on the occasion of the 2,500th anniversary of the city of Naples, F2Cultura revisits the exhibition dedicated to the centenary of the young Le Corbusier's visit to Naples, the final stage of his 1911 Voyage d'Orient, organized by the Federico II with the Fonda-tion Le Corbusier. Girls and boys, students of the Istituto Comprensivo Confalonieri-Ristori, the Istituto Superiore Polo delle Arti Caselli-Palizzi and the Accademia di Belle Arti of Naples, were involved in this revisiting process, in a process of producing new materials that project onto contemporary Naples some of the acute observations Le Corbusier had noted in his travel notebooks.
The day will be opened by greetings from Angela Zampella, Pro-Chancellor University of Naples Federico II, coordinator of the F2 Cultura project; Marella Santangelo, Director of DiARC - Department of Architecture of the Federico II; and Federica Palestino, Strategic Programming Delegate of TM/Social Impact of DiARC.
After the introduction by the curators, speakers include Tiziana d'Isanto, Headmaster Istituto Comprensivo Confalonieri-Ristori,
Walter Luca De Bartolomeis, Headmaster, Caselli-Palizzi Polo delle Arti High School, Rosita Marchese, President, Academy of Fine Arts Naples, and Giuseppe Gaeta, Director, Academy of Fine Arts Naples.
The day continues with a panel discussion moderated by Orfina Fatigato, of DiARC; the conclusions are entrusted to Laura Valente, Artistic Director of 'Napoli Millenaria. Roots. Identity. Future'.
