Seventh edition of 'Eruptions of Taste'

Guided tours to taste wines and sparkling wines in glasses, walks among rows of grapes to discover new forms of tourism. And then, the story of those who produce 'heroic wines' fruit of those vineyards located in impervious and difficult to reach areas, on steep climbs or steep slopes, 'suspended' between sea and mountains in a climate that marks their quality. This is the seventh edition of Eruzioni del Gusto, scheduled for Oct. 24-27, 2025 at the Royal Palace of Portici. The cultural event promoting the food and wine, viticulture and wine tourism of the volcanic territories of Campania and other volcanic areas of the country is promoted by the cultural association ORONERO - FROM THE WRITINGS OF FIRE.

The theme of the 2025 edition is 'Traveling to Taste,' and after six editions held at the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa, the journey continues and for the first time lands in another wonderful setting: the Reggia di Portici, which for more than 150 years has been home to the Department of Agriculture of the University of Naples Federico II and for the past few years also to MUSA, Museum of Agricultural Sciences.

The four-day event will feature focus on food safety, health at the table with food experts, master classes. Absolute protagonists will be the wines and products of excellence of Italian food and wine. Protection consortia,
tourism promotion bodies, meetings with companies in the wine sector, the
fishing industry with Feampa Campania with success stories to tell,
tastings, show cooking and preparation of live dishes in which the
public. Slow Food Campania will also be the protagonist of initiatives and
taste workshops with 'presidia' of products of excellence.
Among the stands of products from Campania: mozzarella di bufala campana Dop,
pomodorino del piennolo del Vesuvio Dop, provolone del Monaco Dop, the
ricotta di bufala campana Dop, lemons from Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast, the
Gragnano Igp pasta and San Marzano tomato Dop. In addition, the colatura di
anchovies from Cetara Dop, olive oil from Cilento and Vesuvius. Among the participants
Tuscany is confirmed with 'Toscana Promozione Turistica' and its great
food and wine products from 'Vetrina Toscana' in addition to Basilicata, the
Sicily with Etna wines and other Italian regions. Among the guest countries are Norway
with the Lofoten Islands to taste dishes made with cod and stockfish in
paired with volcanic wines.
Eruzioni del Gusto is quality food and wine represented by the Consorzi di Tutela
of Wines from Campania and other regions, wine tourism, and the Mediterranean diet.
Also this year, the award 'Farmer of the Year. From the land to the
table'. The event will see a parade on the green carpet of farmers who flank the
work on the land as well as the restaurant business, in a broader vision of a
enterprise. With Eruzioni del Gusto, Italy, and Campania, which hosts the event,
celebrate its leadership in food and wine tourism worldwide and its
support for 'Italian Cuisine' as a candidate for recognition among UNESCO's
Unesco's intangible assets. The 2025 edition is also enriched with content
in the section dedicated to the 'BIE - International Wine Tourism Exchange' that
every year attracts more and more exhibitors.

Among the buyers present will be Ondanova Ltd Partners, based in Hong Kong, with the aim of creating a bridge between the best Italian gourmet brands, territorial excellences and Asian distributors most attentive to quality and emerging trends.
