INSTM/Polymers Prize. First place winner a researcher from Frederick

Dr. Martina Salzano de Luna, a researcher at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Materials and Industrial Production (DICMaPI) of the University of Frederick, was awarded the first national prize given by the Internuniversity Consortium for Materials Science and Technology (INSTM) in collaboration with the journal Open Access Polymers, with a study on polymeric materials for the purification of polluted water.

 

To her will go €1,000 provided by INSTM and a €1,500 voucher for a future publication in Polymers, for the best 2018/2019 work in the field of polymers and/or composite materials reserved for young researchers.

Participation in the competition was large, with 19 applicants, and the quality of the work was judged high by the Jury composed of professors Gaetano Guerra (University of Salerno), Francesco Paolo La Mantia (University of Palermo), Giulio Malucelli (Polytechnic of Turin), Giuseppe Mensitieri (University of Naples Federico II) and Massimo Messori (Polytechnic of Turin).
