AssoTutela's "Eccellenze Italiane" award to professor Maria d'Arienzo
Maria d'Arienzo, professor of Ecclesiastical Law, Canon Law and Confessional Rights at the Department of Law, University of Naples Federico II, received the "Eccellenze Italiane" Award.
On Sept. 25, 2025, at the Aula Magna of the Training School of the Penitentiary Police in Rome, a ceremony was held to present the "Eccellenze Italiane" award, organized by AssoTutela to celebrate personalities who distinguish themselves for professional, social and cultural merits and who, with dedication, professionalism and ethical spirit, bring honor to our country through projects and initiatives of high value and impact on society.
The award was given to her for her constant commitment to promoting the integration of diversity and defending the fundamental rights of the person, with special attention to the protection of religious freedom, a central theme in her academic career and research and dissemination activities.
The Friderian academic has for years been committed to the promotion of dialogue between different religious faiths, declining her scientific and academic commitment into concrete actions in support of an increasingly open, inclusive and supportive society.
The event was attended by numerous institutional authorities, representatives of academia and civil society. In addition to Professor d'Arienzo, other prominent personalities from the world of culture, scientific innovation, and legality who contribute every day to represent Italian excellence in Italy and abroad were honored.
