Paolo Valerio, clinical psychologist and eco-sustainable artist, is among the protagonists of the sixth edition of the Salerno Biennale of Contemporary Art, where he presents six of his eco-sculptures, works that synthesize with poetic force and civic engagement his profound reflections on identity and sustainability.

An honorary professor of Clinical Psychology , honorary president of the SInAPSi center, and a leading figure in queer art, his work is developed on two closely connected planes: on the one hand, his clinical and research activity is dedicated to studying and supporting issues related to gender identity, with particular attention to the experiences and rights of LGBTQIA+ people, specifically transgender and gender diverse people. On the other hand, her artistic production is a powerful form of denunciation against the stereotypes, discrimination, and prejudice that still affect these communities today, through the transformative potential of queer eco art.

The eco-sculptures exhibited at the Biennial are made from recycled and natural materials, a tangible symbol of respect for the environment and a sustainability that also embraces the diversity and complexity of human beings. These works communicate stories of resistance, self-determination and visibility, offering a creative gaze that interweaves psychology, art and environmental activism. Through his art, Valerio aims to transform marginality into strength, inviting the public to think critically about the importance of overcoming prejudice and building more inclusive societies.
