BRAU Information Literacy Open Badge - Basic Level
8 hours of theoretical and practical training divided into 4 in-person sessions in the BRAU Conference Room. The first session is on October 5.
The Humanities Library of the University of Naples Federico II (BRAU) is participating in the broader digital skills certification project adopted by Federico II by organizing the second edition of the course leading tothe BRAU Information Literacy Basic Level Open Badge, which is designed to help students acquire skills and knowledge related to basic bibliographic research methods and the use of library services such as interlibrary loan and document delivery.
Students who complete the course and earn the corresponding badge will have acquired the following skills:
· Define a research topic and plan a strategy for identifying information resources;
· Search for bibliographic information;
· Use Italian and international databases in the humanities;
· Identify and select bibliographic resources, evaluating the authority of the sources;
· Obtain bibliographic resources;
· Understand the correct methods for citing sources;
· Use the Humanities Library’s georeferencing, local interlibrary loan, and document delivery services.
Participation is reserved for students enrolled in bachelor’s degree programs in the Department of Humanities at the University of Fridericiano.
The course program consists of 8 hours of theoretical and practical training, divided into 4 in-person sessions in the BRAU Conference Room (Piazza Bellini 59-60). The course will be held on October 5, 6, 12, and 13, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
