MedLIFE 2025 and 2026 at the Frederick II: a new project by MUNA

organismo

The Mediterranean and Middle East University Network Agreement-MUNA represents a high-profile international academic network, founded in 2015 on the initiative of Professor Gilberto Sammartino and supported since its inception by the University of Naples Federico II. This Network aims to promote scientific and cultural dialogue between universities in the Mediterranean and the Middle East, contributing to the building of lasting ties between historically connected peoples.

Thanks to the constant support of Rector Matteo Lorito, the University consolidates its role as a reference in academic diplomacy and the promotion of international strategic partnerships. MUNA stands out for its focus on academic solidarity and the construction of a shared collective memory, concretized in summer and winter schools, conferences, seminars and research and student mobility projects, Erasmus+ and transnational cooperation.

This is the context for the Mediterranean Life Sciences Union (MedLIFE) 2025 and 2026 conferences to be held in Naples, at the Federico II Congress Center, on Dec. 9-11, which will address priority scientific issues such as health, the environment, the resilience of territories and the training of new generations of researchers. The program will involve universities and research centers from a large number of countries in the Mediterranean basin and the Middle East, with the active contribution of students, doctoral students, faculty, rectors and consuls.

As Giulia Guerriero - MUNA International Coordinators Coordinator, C.I.R.AM. Director and MedLIFE Conference Chair - points out, the cycle of MedLIFE 2025 and 2026 events, with the scientific support of the departmental MUNA coordinators of the Federico II and the local organization of the departments afferent to C.I.R.AM., represents a great new chapter in this MUNA experience, reinforcing the commitment to contributing toinclusive, sustainable and peace-oriented science education.
