European Ombudsman for Interculture and Social Cohesion: call for applications open for the ninth edition of the Training Course
The call for applications for admission to the Training Course in European Mediator for Interculture and Social Cohesion promoted by the Department of Political Science of the University of Naples Federico II, of which Professor Francesco Dandolo is scientific head, is online.
Now in its ninth edition, the course of study has achieved growing enrollment success. The aim is to train with an interdisciplinary approach a new professional figure to facilitate integration, a figure now indispensable in Italian society, which is called to acquire an increasingly plural and open dimension to the world.
During the lectures, which will be held in the School of Italian Language and Culture of the Community of Sant'Egidio, the fundamental themes related to the processes of reception and integration will be explored: the Republican Constitution, the right to asylum, international cooperation, education, health and the historical, cultural, economic and social aspects related to migration.
The course, will be taught by expert lecturers from Federico II and other universities in Campania, as well as professionals and social workers involved in their activities with the reality of migrants. It consists of 350 hours, including 200 hours of lectures and 150 hours of internships, and is divided into three modules.
Classes will be held on Thursday afternoons from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday afternoons from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The call for applications expires on October 31, 2025; classes are scheduled to begin by the end of November.
