Leopoldo Angrisani elected a member of the European Academy of Sciences
Professor Leopoldo Angrisani, full professor of electrical and electronic measurements in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (DIETI), has been elected Member (Fellow) of the European Academy of Sciences (EurASc), one of the most prestigious independent scientific academies in Europe.
The election, formalized in April 2025 following a rigorous evaluation process by the EurASc General Council, is an important recognition of Professor Angrisani's outstanding scientific contributions and international prestige.
The European Academy of Sciences brings together Europe's most eminent scientists, engineers and scholars with the goal of promoting excellence in science and technology, supporting evidence-based policies and strengthening transnational research cooperation. The inclusion of Professor Angrisani among EurASc members, the only representative at the moment from the Federico II, testifies to the high scientific level and international value of the research conducted.
Leopoldo Angrisani will be called upon to contribute actively to the life of the Academy, participating in scientific divisions, annual events and initiatives aimed at promoting global scientific dialogue.

In addition, Professor Angrisani was recently selected as the winner of the prestigious "2025 IEEE Instrumentation & Measurement Society Faculty Course Development Award." The award, worth $10,000, was given for the development of the course entitled "Quantum Metrology and Sensors." The official award ceremony took place at the flagship international measurement and instrumentation industry conference I2MTC2025, held in Chemnitz, Germany from May 19-22, 2025.
