Leopoldo Angrisani, full professor of "Electrical and Electronic Measurements" at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (DIETI) and Coordinator of the PhD in Information and Communication Technology for Health (CITH) as well as a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences (EurASc), has been elected President of the GMEE National Association - Electrical and Electronic Measurements Group for the three-year period 2025-28.

The GMEE Association, of expert researchers in the field of measurement, among the most important entities at the national level in the framework of metrological activities, now brings together more than 300 Italian researchers organized in 42 research units, belonging to the most accredited Italian universities and research institutions, with the aim of promoting the progress of measurement science and technology, promoting and protecting research and study with specific regard to metrology and measurement instrumentation for industry, quality, information, health and the environment. Thanks to the capillarity of its operating units, the GMEE Association is close to the business realities present on the national territory and constitutes, at the same time, a network of scientific and technical relations capable of addressing and solving metrological problems of scientific relevance and immediate application interest.

Angrisani's election came by unanimous vote of the membership assembly during the IX Measurement Forum, held in Naples at our Athenaeum last Sept. 10-12.
