Honorary degree in Geology and Applied Geology to Alberto Angela

An honorary master's degree in Geology and Applied Geology will be conferred on Alberto Angela on Monday, June 5, 2023.

The ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. in the Federico II's Aula Magna Storica, Corso Umberto I, 40, and will be streamed live.

Introducing the merits of the paleontologist and science popularizer will be speeches by Matteo Lorito, Rector University of Naples Federico II, and Vincenzo Morra, Director of the Department of Earth, Environmental and Resource Sciences.

Pasquale Raia, Professor of Paleontology and Paleoecology at the Department of Earth, Environmental and Resource Sciences of the University of Naples Federico II, will give the Laudatio.

This will be followed by a Lectio Magistralis by Alberto Angela and the conferral of the degree.
