Honorary degree in modern philology to writer Maurizio de Giovanni
An honorary degree in Modern Philology will be conferred on Monday, September 13, 2021, on writer Maurizio de Giovanni.
The ceremony will take place at 12 noon in the Aula Magna Storica of the Federico II, Corso Umberto I, 40, and will be broadcast live on YouTube.
Introducing the Neapolitan writer's merits will be speeches by Matteo Lorito, Rector of the University of Naples Federico II, and Andrea Mazzucchi, Director of the Department of Humanistic Studies at the Federico II. Pasquale Sabbatino, professor of Italian Literature at the University of Federico II, will give the Laudatio Academica. This will be followed by a Lectio Magistralis by writer Maurizio de Giovanni and the conferral of the degree.
In compliance with anticovid regulations, seating is limited and the lecture hall is by invitation only.
