Honorary degree to Takaaki Kajita

A ceremony to confer the Honorary Degree in Physics to Takaaki Kajita, 2015 Nobel Laureate in Physics, will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 .

The event will be held in theCarlo Ciliberto Lecture Hall in the Monte Sant'Angelo University Complex, 26 Via Cinthia, Naples, and will begin at 3 p.m.

Speeches by Gaetano Manfredi, Rector University of Naples Federico II, Piero Salatino, President of the Federico II School of Polytechnics and Basic Sciences, and Leonardo Merola, Director of the Department of Physics "Ettore Pancini" of the Federico University, will introduce the ceremony.

Takaaki Kajita's Laudatio Academica will be given by Vittorio Palladino, Professor of Experimental Physics at the Federico II, which will be followed by the Lectio Magistralis and IV Antonio Barone Lecture by Nobel Laureate Takaaki Kajita, and the conferral of the Degree.
