IX National Measurement Forum
IX National Measurement Forum
This year the 42nd National Congress of Electrical and Electronic Measurements and the 33rd National Congress of Mechanical and Thermal Measurements will give rise to the 9th National Measurement Forum.
The annual event that brings together national experts in Measurements will be held Sept. 10-12, 2025 in the prestigious setting of theUniversity of Naples Federico II, at the Polytechnic School and Basic Sciences in Piazzale Vincenzo Tecchio. The chosen venue represents a symbol of Italian academic excellence: the Federico II University, founded in 1224, is one of the oldest universities in the world and boasts a centuries-old tradition in science and technology.
The building complex that will host the event, located in the Fuorigrotta district, is a significant example of post-World War II university architecture. Built between 1955 and 1970, the building is distinguished by its extensive mosaic decoration on the pediment that celebrates the progress achieved by Man through his own work, a theme that fits well with the spirit of our Forum.
The opening of the proceedings will be held at 8:30 a.m. in theAula Magna Leopoldo Massimilla with institutional greetings. Emilio Sardini, GMEE president, and Alfredo Cigada, GMMT president, will introduce.Speakers include Matteo Lorito, Rector of the Federico II University, Andrea Prota, President Polytechnic School and Basic Sciences, Fabio Villone, Director DIETI - Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Nicola Bianco, Director DII - Department of Industrial Engineering, and Gaetano Manfredi, Mayor of Naples.
The Measurement Forum maintains its nature as an important moment of confrontation and discussion in the typical institutional areas of the university, such as research and teaching. In a period characterized by rapid transformations in the academic and scientific landscape, the event is proposed as a privileged opportunity to take stock of current challenges: from the digitization of measurement processes to new technological frontiers, from the integration of intelligent systems to emerging applications in industrial and environmental fields.
The congress sessions will constitute important dissemination activities, offering the opportunity not only to promote scientific comparison and discussion, but also, together with convivial moments, to get to know new colleagues and delve deeper into the activities carried out in the different university sites and research centers.
The scientific community of Measurements, which has grown over the years among all those involved in this discipline in various capacities, finds in the annual Forum the main moment of meeting and communication, with a continuity that testifies to the importance and value of this appointment for the national scientific scene.
