They are Giuseppe Negro, Francesco Aloisio, Amelia Balestriere, Antonio Evangelista, Nicole Fevola, Gabriele Monteforte, Alessandro Paone, Lorenzo Regalbuto, Alessandra Riccardo, Stefano Schiano, Vincenzo Signoriello, Marisa Sperandeo, and Dario Pappone, the aerospace engineering students who won first prize in an international contest organized by Telespazio and Leonardo.

This was the fifth edition of the #T-TeC - Telespazio Technology Contest, the Open Innovation competition organized by Telespazio and Leonardo to promote space-related ideas and projects of university students in STEM subjects from around the world. The award ceremony took place in Brussels as part of the European Space Conference. The 2023 edition of the Telespazio Technology Contest saw record numbers, with more than 100 competing projects submitted by student teams from 24 European and non-European universities.

The team of students from Frederick won the first prize of 5,000 euros in the "Ideas" category with the DELUNERY project, which originated as project work within the Space Mission Design course taught by Professor Alfredo Renga. The project envisions a system capable of releasing small satellites into low lunar orbit, basing them on a platform in turn orbiting the Moon, with the goal of making such release a routine task as on Earth. The winning team, in addition to the cash prize, will participate in a pre-incubation course for their idea offered by Lazio Innova.
