Good Practice Label to the REcube Project: REthink, REvive, REuse
The REcube: REthink, REvive, REuse - Transmitting the knowledge for the green regeneration of the European Concrete Heritage project has won the prestigious Good Practice Label, an award given to only about 10 percent of completed Erasmus+ projects .
It is a cooperative partnership involving thirteen institutions together, including the Federico II, and is aimed at students in master's degree programs in Architecture and Engineering. Through the Frontier and REgenerate workshops, the MOOC and Meet the Makers, the REcube learning program provides the technical knowledge and specific skills needed for the environmentally sustainable and safe management and protection of the modern concrete building stock, contributing to the development and expansion of future professional skills.REcube aims to induce a profound behavioral change in modern concrete building heritage reuse practices, generating a new cultural value.
Highlights of the project are:
- Innovative open-sourcedigital tools and interdisciplinary training (MOOCs, e-learning).
- High impact through learning, teaching and training (LTTA) and participatory training activities
- Robust, transnational and multidisciplinary partnership (13 partners from 8 countries)
- Results consistent with the Green Deal, Renovation Wave and NextGenerationEU
- Effective dissemination: project website, social media, special issue on Structural Concrete
- Transferability and sustainability well articulated, with future visions such as Masters and Knowledge Alliance
