Fortunato Musella elected to the EC of the International Political Science Association - IPSA
During the XXVIII World Congress of IPSA-International Political Science Association, in Seoul, Professor Fortunato Musella was elected as a member of the IPSA Executive Committee. During the week-long Congress, which had an extraordinary record of attendance with more than three thousand scholars including professors and researchers from all over the world - and which also saw the presence of prestigious personalities such as former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, South Korea's Prime Minister Kim Min-seok, and the opening speech by Korean President Lee Jae-myung - the new executive committee that will guide the work of the Association for the next biennium 2025-2027 was presented.
Professor Musella, professor of Political Science at the University of Naples Federico II and director of the Federica Web Learning Center, will also serve as co-chair of the IPSAMOOC and IPSAPORTAL projects along with Professor Mauro Calise, who has led this initiative since its launch in 2014. Appointments that confirm the central and point-of-reference role of the two faculty members from the University of Frederick in the field of education and digital innovation within the governance of the association.
The IPSAMOOC project includes a series of free, online courses that enable a deeper understanding of key subjects in political science, thanks to the valuable contributions of top academics from the IPSA community and political scientists from around the world. The courses, were created in partnership with the University of Naples Federico II and in particular with the Federica Web Learning Center and are all available for free on Coursera in six languages (English, Spanish, French, Turkish, Japanese and Arabic) and also on the edX platform. Also available on Coursera is the new series, also enriched with avatars and videos made with the support of Artifi cial Intelligence, "IPSAMOOC: Contemporary Issues in World Politics," given by İlter Turan, Past President IPSA, and Mehmet Ali Tuğtan, professors at Bilgi University in Istanbul.
