Fellowship of ASM International for 2025 to Federician Antonello Astarita

Frederick Antonello Astarita, an associate in Processing Technologies and Systems in the Department of Chemical, Materials and Industrial Production Engineering, has been awarded the Fellowship of ASM International, the largest Scientific and Professional Association in the field of materials and materials engineering.

The induction ceremony was held during the annual conference held in Detroit Oct. 19-23, 2025.

ASM International established the title of Fellow of ASM (FASM) in 1969 to recognize ASM members for their contributions to materials science and engineering. Recipients of one of the highest honors in the field of materials, Fellows of ASM are technical and professional leaders who have been recognized by their peers and now serve as advisors to the society.
