Two days of initiatives in memory of Pasquale Miele
Two days of initiatives in memory of Pasquale Miele, an innocent victim of organized crime who was killed on Nov. 6, 1989. On Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., at the Municipal Villa of Grumo Nevano in Viale Mazzini, there will be a planting of trees in his memory, donated by the Regional Forest Nurseries, in the presence of teachers and students from the "Matteotti - Cirillo" Comprehensive Institute and the "Giovanni Pascoli" Primary School.
On Saturday, Nov. 8, starting at 9:30 a.m., at the Convent of Santa Caterina in Grumo Nevano, located in Piazza San Pasquale, 1, the conference in memory of Pasquale Miele will be held, titled "In order not to forget Pasquale Miele - from monsters to our own," where the memory of Pasquale Miele, a young entrepreneur who opposed racketeering, will be made and good practices of restorative justice will be discussed, as well as the memory of innocent victims of crime and the good social reuse of property confiscated from the mafias.
Greetings will be given by Umberto Cimmino, mayor of Grumo Nevano, and Giuseppe Granata, president of the Campania Coordinamento dei familiari delle vittime innocenti della criminalità. Speakers will include Giuseppe Miele, Pasquale's brother; Don Tonino Palmese, president of the Campania Region's Pol.i.s. Foundation; Gaetano Eboli, supervisory magistrate; Giulia Russo, director of the"Pasquale Mandato" Penitentiary Center in Secondigliano; Samuele Ciambriello ; and Mariano Di Palma, regional referent of Libera Campania.
