Two Federicans Winners of ETIC 2022 Award.

Stefano Marrone, a researcher, and Franca Rocco di Torrepadula, a doctoral student at DIETI - Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, are the winners of the ETIC 2022 prize.

The competition, with the aim of enhancing the issues of ethics applied to digital technologies, awards master's and doctoral theses that deal with topics concerning the social and ethical implications arising from the use of digital technologies.

The theses awarded are the doctoral thesis entitled 'Trustworthy AI: The Deep Learning Perspective' by Stefano Marrone (Tutor Professor Carlo Sansone) and the master's thesis entitled 'An AI-based system for mobility network management in a Smart City' by Franca Rocco di Torrepadula (Tutor Professor Nicola Mazzocca).

Since 2010, the ETIC Prize has been announced annually by the Italian Districts of Rotary International in collaboration with AICA - Italian Association for Informatics and Automatic Computing, and under the patronage of CRUI - Conference of Italian University Rectors.
