Digital Music Forum 2025
Digital Music Forum 2025
From the stages of Sanremo to the fan bases born online, today music lives and grows on social networks: this is the theme of the new edition of the Digital Music Forum - the event promoted by FIMI - Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana and the City of Naples - Naples city of Music, in collaboration with the Youth Observatory of the University of Naples Federico II and the Generazione Creativa project, promoted by the Department of Social Sciences in agreement with the Campania Region - which every year brings together institutions, artists, academics and professionals on the most relevant digital issues for the music industry.
The 2025 edition will be held on Oct. 21, starting at 11 a.m., and will be hosted in the setting in the Complesso dei Santi Marcellino e Festo of the Federico II University, confirming the synergy with one of the main venues for dialogue with the new generations: after having explored the impact of artificial intelligence in past years, the Forum in fact returns to focus on social media, with a focus on how digital has transformed the relationship between artists and the public sphere, giving rise to the phenomenon of superfans and new forms of interaction between the public and creativity.
This year's event will again feature institutional and academic voices along with leading figures from the music industry and the digital world: from FIMI CEO Enzo Mazza, who will offer a market scenario with a focus on the impact of digital in the music industry, to Elena Bressan, Social Media & Influencer Marketing Coordinator Universal Music Italia, who will talk about the social communication strategies of artists and labels in the post-pandemic scenario, passing through Giulia Lizzoli, Head of Music Operations SEU at TikTok, with an analysis on the role of user creativity and viral content in generating and consolidating fanbases, redefining launch and communication strategies for artists.
Also continuing is the fruitful collaboration with the Giffoni Innovation Hub, for which CEO Luca Tesauro will be present, offering a focus on new forms of digital language and their impact in the relationship between music and Gen Z, while full professor of Sociology of Cultural and Communicative Processes Sergio Brancato will delve into fandom as a cultural and social phenomenon, and attorney Ferdinando Tozzi, copyright expert and deputy advisor to the Mayor of Naples on the music and audiovisual industry, will conduct a legal analysis of the scenario.
Closing the work session will be Settembre, winner of Sanremo Giovani 2025: an artist born and raised on social networks and an extraordinary digital communicator, he will bring his direct experience as an emblematic case of the new generation of artists, in dialogue with Lello Savonardo, coordinator of the Osservatorio Giovani and advisor to the Mayor of the Metropolitan City of Naples on youth cultural policies.
Digital Music Forum 2025 will be the workshop in which to observe the phenomenon of transformation of music triggered by social, giving rise to new forms of creativity, increasingly active fan bases and innovative strategies that are rewriting the rules of the industry.
