P.R.I.N. 2022 Concluding Conference.
Scheduled for Sept. 25-27, 2025 at Villa Ferretti, home of the University of Naples Federico II, is the concluding conference of P.R.I.N. 2022, entitled "Across Europe. The Italian Performing Model and its Interpreters in the Eighteenth Century."
Performing Arts and Digital Humanities: a mapping of the dissemination of the Italian spectacular model in Europe in the eighteenth century. The migration of professionals, the circulation of performance practices and ideas of theater at the roots of European identity. University of Venice Ca' Foscari, University of Florence and University Federico II of Naples.
On Thursday, Sept. 25, starting at 11:30 a.m., greetings by Andrea Mazzucchi director of the Department of Humanistic Studies at the University of Naples Federico II will open the proceedings. This will be followed by talks by Piermario Vescovo on 'Fragments of a Comic Novel' and Francesco Cotticelli on 'The Reasons for a Project, Between Case Studies and Reflections on Method'.
At the conclusion of the conference, in the late morning of Saturday, September 27, the journal 'Dramaturgia', XXII N.S. 12, will be presented. This will be followed by a panel discussion on 'The performing arts and digital humanities: a mapping of the dissimilation of the Italian spectacular model in Europe in the eighteenth century, the migration of professionals, and the circulation of performing arts practices and ideas of theater at the roots of European identity. Research Results and Perspectives'.
The Scientific Committee is composed of Maria Chiara Barbieri, Roberta Carpani, Francesco Cotticelli, Renzo Guardenti, Tatiana Korneeva, Gianluca Stefani, Lorena Vallieri, Maria Venuso and Piermario Vescovo.
