'The cosmos in a leap,' traveling exhibition chronicling quantum mechanics
"The Cosmos in a Leap.Atoms, Quantum, Technological Revolutions" is the traveling exhibition created by the University of Naples Federico II, as part of the University's project 'Quantum Insights in Research and Technology,' sponsored by the Pnrr Foundation Rome Technopole program.
The exhibition, set up in the Real Casa dell'Annunziata in Naples, will open on Sept. 24 and will be open to the public from Sept. 25-29, 2025.
In the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, the exhibition, divided into three sections (atoms, quanta and technological revolutions), tells the story of quantum mechanics and how this theory has revolutionized the perspective we have of science and reality, leading to extraordinary technological implications that have already revolutionized the 21st century and will revolutionize our future.
Counterintuitive, disruptive, fascinating, quantum mechanics in the exhibition is told through a plurality of languages: texts, infographics, videos, evocative images, interactive multimedia installations, exhibits and research tools.
From Sept. 25 to 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and with guided tours, the exhibition is reserved for schools with reservations required at scuola@nottedeiricercatori-streets.it.
