Aniello Anastasio confirmed as head of the Department of Veterinary Science

Aniello Anastasio has been reappointed for the three-year term 2025-2027 as head of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Production.

Professor Anastasio, full professor of Food Hygiene and Technology, was elected on the first ballot with 111 preferences out of 117 voters.

Aniello Anastasio has held numerous institutional positions for many years at the national
and international level in the field of Inspection of Food of Animal Origin. He is President of the Italian Association of Veterinary Hygienists (AIVI), Member of the Veterinary Drug Advisory Section of the Technical Committee on Nutrition and Animal Health (CTNSA). Expert of the Food Safety Committee of Section IV of the Superior Health Council, Coordinator of the Advanced Materials for Research and Comparative Agro-Food (SCARL MAREA) and Scientific Coordinator of the Regional Reference Center for Fish Health Safety (CRISSAP). At MIPAF, he is a Member of the Working National Groups on parasites in fish and on product and catch labeling.
