"Digital Tools and Research Strategies for Writing an Archaeological Map: Reflections and Work in Comparison" is the study day to be held Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, from 9:30 a.m., at the former Wooden Catalogs Hall of the Complex of St. Peter Martyr, Via Porta di Massa 1.

The meeting will be dedicated to the theme of Digital Archaeological Maps, innovative tools for research and land use planning, and will be an opportunity for discussion among scholars working in these fields, but also for dialogue with entities directly involved in land protection activities: the Superintendencies, the Central Institute for Archaeology.
The Archaeological Map of the Sele Valley, the result of doctoral work conducted at the University of Naples Federico II by Dr. Elena Russo, will be presented, followed by the presentation of case studies and research projects related to different Italian contexts: Lazio, Campania, Basilicata and Calabria.

The day will be opened by greetings from Bianca de Divitiis, Valerio Petrarca, and Giovanna Greco and moderated by Luigi Cicala.

The event can also be followed remotely, on the Microsoft Teams platform.
