"History Books"
"History Books"
The "Books of History" series of meetings continues. Next meeting will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in the Aliotta Lecture Hall of the Department of Humanities at 1 Mass Gate Street.
The Invention of the Assassins. Genesis of a Medieval Legend (il Mulino 2025) by Laura Minervini is the volume that is the subject of the meeting. The presentation takes place as part of the teaching of Medieval History held by Francesco Senatore for the three-year Philosophy course of study.
Discussing the topic with the author are Federici professors Roberto Delle Donne and Fulvio Delle Donne. Professor Marco Meriggi coordinates the meeting.
The "Books of History" cycle is characterized by its being an expression of the entire Historical Sciences Section, since the promoters of the individual meetings to discuss the volumes are, from time to time, members of the section. In this way, the initiative succeeds in reflecting the richness and heterogeneity of the interests cultivated within the Section, which, along a chronological span stretched between antiquity and the most recent contemporaneity, weave together methodological approaches and extremely varied interpretative proposals.
