"Innovative Technologies for Sustainable Water Management."
The Blended Executive Program (BEP) entitled "Innovative Technologies for Sustainable Water Management," organized as part of the SHARE_Africa European project and coordinated byFederico II University, was inaugurated at theÉcole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Tunis (ENIT).
The opening event was held in the presence of theItalian Ambassador to Tunis, H.E. Alessandro Prunas, who officially launched the program's activities, together with representatives of the Tunisian and Italian academic institutions involved.
The course, scheduled to run until Nov. 27, 2025, aims to enhance technical and scientific skills in the field of sustainable water resources management, promoting the use of innovative technologies and nature-based solutions to improve the resilience of water systems in Africa and the Mediterranean basin.
The initiative, which represents an important moment of international academic cooperation, involves a multidisciplinary team of Italian and Tunisian faculty.
Italian professors involved: Salvatore Manfreda, Guido D'Urso, Luigi Cimorelli, Luca Fortunato, Mario Palladino, Stefano Papirio - University of Naples Federico II Serena Ceola - University of Bologna Riccardo Gori, Giulio Castelli - University of Florence Tommaso Pacetti - University for Foreigners of Perugia Davide Luciano De Luca, Elena Ridolfi - University of Rome "La Sapienza" Maria Cristina Rulli, Davide Danilo Chiarelli - Polytechnic of Milan.
Tunisian lecturers involved: Zoubeida Bargaoui, Hammouda Dakhlaoui, Rachida Bouhlila, Lamia Guellouz, Hanen Ghanmi, Fairouz Slama, Ridha Zgolli, Jamel Chahed, Maroua Bouteffeha, Hedia Chakroun, Nesrine Abid, Rim Cherif - ENIT, Université de Tunis El Manar Rim Ouachani - ISTLS, Université de Sousse.
The Blended Executive Program combines face-to-face lectures, hands-on activities, thematic workshops, and discussion sessions, with the aim of promoting the dissemination of good practices in integrated water management, technological innovation, and collaboration between academic institutions, research organizations, and professionals in the field.
The inauguration of the BEP in Tunis marks a significant step in strengthening scientific and technical expertise for sustainable water resources management, in line with the objectives of the SHARE_Africa project and theUniversity of Naples Federico II 's commitment to education and international cooperation.
