"Two Important Pontanian Memoirs: the Young Croce and the Late Nineteenth-Century European Debate on Historical Materialism"
Fourth and final meeting of the 2025 lecture series organized by the National Society of Sciences, Letters and Arts in Naples jointly with the Accademia Pontaniana on the topic of "The Academies and the Dissemination of Culture."
On Tuesdaỳ Oct. 14, 2025 at 4 p.m., at the academic headquarters at 8 Via Mezzocannone, Edoardo Massimilla, professor of History of Philosophy at the University of Federico II, will give a lecture entitled, "Two Important Pontanian Memoirs: the Young Croce and the Late Nineteenth-Century European Debate on Historical Materialism."
The lectures, which are open to the public, are given by leading figures in European culture, in which a topic of general interest is treated from time to time in a non-technical manner.
