"Famous Causes and Criminal Justice."
On Oct. 27, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. in the Aula De Sanctis, the first of the meetings as part of the seminar series titled "Celebrity Cases and Criminal Justice" will be held. The goal of the in-depth course, organized by Teresa Bene, professor of Criminal Procedural Law, with the support of the University of Naples Federico II, is to read the contemporary criminal trial through the lens of past court cases.
It begins with an analysis and discussion of the historic Enzo Tortora case. After greetings by Law Department Director Carla Masi Doria, and Naples Bar Association President Carmine Foreste, and an introduction by Teresa Bene, lecturers Sergio Lorusso, Paola Maggio, Luca Luparia Donati and Claudio Siragusa will speak. The discussion will be moderated by Dario Del Porto, journalist for La Repubblica.
The discussion with students will allow for an in-depth look at crucial issues such as miscarriage of justice and media justice.
