Erasmus+ Program

The Erasmus+ program for the period 2021-2027 is the European Union's education, training, youth and sport program, which has as one of its objectives to provide European citizens with inclusive, high-quality education and training through informal and nonformal learning that equips young people and participants of all ages with the qualifications and skills needed for active participation in democratic society, intercultural understanding and a successful transition to the labor market. Erasmus+ is intensifying its efforts to offer more opportunities to even more participants and a wider range of organizations, focusing on the qualitative impact of the program and contributing to more inclusive, cohesive, green and digitally adapted societies.

Mobility for study purposes

General Information

  • Eligible: students, regularly enrolled in Bachelor's, Doctoral, Master's, Graduate School courses at the University, may go for a period, to a European University, which has signed an agreement, to carry out study activities equivalent to those carried out in their home University. Students participating in the program, by the governing principle of parity will be considered for all purposes enrolled at the host University.
  • Formative Period: this period is between June 1 of the year of publication of the call for applications and September 30 of the following calendar year; the duration may range from a minimum of three months to a maximum of twelve, and is determined by the student after agreement with the promoter on the basis of the start and end dates of the courses of the activities at the different university locations.
  • Costs and fees: the host university will not charge any kind of fee or university contribution for attendance, registration and use of teaching facilities etc. It may, however, require the payment of modest fees, such as for insurance and various materials on equal terms with local students. In order to encourage mobility, the LLP National Agency makes annual contributions to student mobility grants intended essentially to supplement the cost of the student's stay abroad.
  • Language support: for each academic year, free intensive language courses are activated by the University thanks to the contribution of the European Commission . The courses, organized by the University Language Center, last 60 hours and take place between the months of July and September.
