Health policy for the University's teaching, research and technical-administrative personnel with optional household membership

GENERAL INFORMATION

Employeehealth insurance:

Effective January 1, 2025 and for the duration of two years, the University has activated a health care policy with REALE MUTUA, for the benefit of:

  • Technical-administrative staff (fixed-term, permanent, CEL);
  • Lecturers and Researchers;

the cost of which is fully borne by the University.

The insurance coverage reimburses health expenses incurred as a result of illness and injury. For more details on the conditions download the attached file here.
Policy Conditions.

Recording mode

In order to access the dedicated services and consult the network of healthcare facilities, the employee must first register on the website (www.blueassistance.it) or through APP "Blue Assistance" available in the official stores on Play Store (Android) or Apple Store (IOS) with the keyword "Blue Assistance® and downloading it free of charge to his/her mobile device.

Once registered you will be allowed access as an assistance where you can find all the necessary information.

Extension to household members

Coverage may be extended, optionally and at one's own expense with salary deduction in a lump sum or up to a maximum of three installments, to the entire household or to individual members thereof meaning:

  • the spouse;
  • the cohabitant more uxorio, the person designated as spouse by contracts of cohabitation (same sex partner), as long as resulting from the family status;
  • the employee's cohabiting children resulting from family status;
  • children of the employee who are not cohabiting provided that they are tax dependents.

The optional extension of the policy for each member of the household provides for the payment of a fee, payable by the insured employee, equal to:

- Gross annual premium for spouse/more uxorio cohabitee: € 510.00;

- Gross annual premium for each child: € 410.00.

Optional extension to members of one's household must be made through the Howden S.p.a. portal.

Staff in service on 1.1.2025 will have the option to have their family members join by 31.3.2025.

Personnelwho entered service after 1.1.2025 will be entitled to have their family members join within 60 days from the date of entry into service.

To extend the policy to the entire household or individual members you will have to:

  • Log in to your Unina Reserved Area;
  • Select the Welfare icon that will redirect directly to the Howden Portal (https://unina.howdengroup.com/area-riservata);
  • Follow the instructions summarized in the Howden Portal Guide available in the attachments section to finalize the optional extension to your household members.

Summary of delivery methods

Benefits under the policy can be availed of, within the limits of the insurance plan, in:

  • Direct Contracting Scheme

Subject to the authorization procedure, health care services performed in a health care facility and/or with physicians from the Blue Assistance/Reale Mutua Health Network will be paid directly by the insurer to the health care facility.

Clarification: At the time of the request for taking charge, the Assisted person must be in possession of the medical prescription, showing the relevant diagnostic question, which he/she must then present at the chosen contracted facility on the date set for the service. If the Assisted Person does not submit the necessary documentation, he/she will have the opportunity to supplement it without the need to request the opening of a new claim for service.

Waivers: The waiver of the necessary prior request for authorization for the activation of the direct care regime and in any case for access to affiliated health care facilities is provided only for cases of medical emergencies.

  • Reimbursement Regime.

Once the health care service has been performed and the expense has been incurred, reimbursement is requested and will be made to the beneficiary.

In order to obtain reimbursement for the expenses incurred, the Beneficiary must submit the request for reimbursement accompanied by the expense documentation (e.g., copies of receipts, invoices and/or notulas, duly receipted and fiscally in order) and the following medical documentation:

  • in case of hospitalization: copy of medical records conforming to the original;
  • in case of non-hospitalization services, excluding preventive medicine: medical prescription with diagnostic question or established pathology;
  • In all other cases: medical prescriptions or other medical documentation if provided by the appropriate guarantee.
