Immersive teaching and manipulation of 3D images in health care settings
Immersive teaching and 3D image manipulation in health care: integration of XR technologies and three-dimensional models for innovation in health care education
This course explores the potential of 3D and Extended Reality (XR) technologies for educational innovation in healthcare. Through demonstration and laboratory activities, participants will experience advanced ways of visualizing and manipulating anatomical models and medical images, with the goal of designing more interactive, engaging, and learning-centered educational experiences. The course enhances the pedagogically oriented use of immersive technologies, moving beyond the mere technical dimension and fostering the construction of transferable educational scenarios in medical education, health professions, and simulation, collaboration, and experiential learning contexts, with a focus on the integration of imaging, anatomy, and clinical practice.
