What is Open Badge?

Open Badges are digital certificates that certify disciplinary competencies, personal skills (soft skills) and technical skills acquired through cross-curricular educational activities organized by the University or the Department of affiliation.

Each badge is composed of:

• a graphic part, i.e., a representative image
• a set of metadata, which specify:
  • the competence, skill or objective achieved;
  • the method by which it was verified;
  • the entity that issued it;
  • the identity of the recipient.
