Phone portability
The University's single telephone system allows the activation of the assigned office phone extension portability service. Activation of this service allows users to receive and make calls from their smartphones, tablets or PCs, as long as they are connected to the Internet, using their assigned University internal telephone extension. Telephone portability designed and implemented for the Athenaeum provides a high-level collaboration experience through voice and video calls, instant messaging (chat) and multi-user meetings, simply using one's internal phone line. The system provides multiple usage options and the flexibility to meet every need. It can be configured to be used as a software client on PCs and/or Macs, as an app (free of charge) on tablets and/or smartphones, so you can choose the most congenial option to communicate from anywhere with the office and/or to the outside according to your work needs, using your assigned phone line as if you were in the office. The system being fully integrated with the University's VoIP platform offers highly reliable, clear and secure communications. Voice and/or video phone calls between employees are at zero cost, while outbound phone calls will be charged through the economic values provided in the consip TF5 agreement to which the University has signed up.
