Teacher Training. Innovative Teaching Methods

Federico II University Invests in Skills for the University of the Future

"disegno

The development of teaching skills among faculty members is one of the strategic priorities in which the University of Naples Federico II has chosen to invest as part of its Three-Year Plan (PRO3). The goal is to promote a broad theoretical and methodological understanding and familiarity with the tools needed to address the new challenges of university education.

The initiative is based on the conviction that pedagogical innovation is essential for placing students at the center of the learning experience, integrating new educational approaches, and interpreting the profound changes affecting the contemporary university environment.

The training activities promoted by the university are organized into four main areas: innovative teachingmethodologies ; student-centered approaches; digital tools for teaching; and the sharing of effective practices. The courses and initiatives offered support the adoption of active and participatory methodologies, including Problem-Based Learning, Project-Based Learning, the Flipped Classroom, Cooperative Learning, active teaching, and role-playing.

The goal is to enhance and strengthen the pedagogical experiments and experiences already widespread within the university, fostering an increasingly inclusive, interdisciplinary, and student-centered approach to teaching.

Innovating university teaching therefore means proposing learning models capable of addressing contemporary challenges, promoting more effective educational pathways that integrate the opportunities offered by digital technologies.

To support this initiative, the University has created a portal dedicated to the PRO3 Three-Year Program, where users can access the catalog of courses focused on educational innovation and the integration of digital technologies into teaching and learning processes. The catalog, which is set to expand progressively with new educational offerings, is organized into two main areas: PRO3 courses delivered in MOOC format by Federica Web Learning, and courses on innovative teaching offered by the University’s Centers and Departments.

The future of teaching starts here. Be part of the change.

Access the catalog, download the access guides, and discover current and upcoming courses. The catalog is continuously updated to provide timely responses to your educational needs.
