100 hours of training and 100 hours of in-company internship in three months for Green or Food pathways. Applications open
The Caivano Next Academy, with two training tracks focused on environmental sustainability and agribusiness, is born, for which applications are now open.
Promoting the economic, social and cultural development of the area, creating concrete opportunities for young people aged between 18 and 29 and contributing to the strengthening of the local productive fabric: these are the goals of the Caivano Next Academy, which is part of theUrban Regeneration Factory, the broader urban and social regeneration project promoted by the Prime Minister's Office, the Municipality of Caivano and theUniversity of Naples Federico II. At the same time, the project aspires to become a national model of territorial regeneration, based on training, innovation and sustainability.
The Caivano Next Academy represents a concrete tool to develop professional skills, foster youth employment, stimulate entrepreneurial paths and contribute to the transformation of the territory into a hub of skills and innovation. The goal is to guide the future of young people through concrete skills and real opportunities.
The three-month training program includes 100 hours of training, 70 percent of which are dedicated to practical activities and workshops and 30 percent to theoretical lessons on technical skills, soft skills and micro-entrepreneurship. Rounding out the program are 100 hours of internships in partner companies to encourage direct entry into the world of work. Applications due by July 6, 2026.
There are two training tracks: the Green Academy, focused on environmental sustainability, circular economy, urban agriculture and green management; and the Food Academy, dedicated to the food and restaurant sector, with a focus on cooking techniques, enhancement of raw materials and local traditions. Through these paths, participants can develop specific professional skills, building a path consistent with their aspirations and responding to the needs of the labor market.
"Our work on Caivano, and on areas of high vulnerability, has at its core a wide-ranging action," said Government Commissioner Fabio Ciciliano. Our goal is not simply to change the present of these realities, but to design actions that are sustainable in the long term and capable of concretely affecting the future. I therefore welcome with particular satisfaction the launch of the Caivano Next Academy, which represents in a concrete way this will: a project that, through vocational training, will offer new opportunities to many young people in the community."
"The Caivano Next Academy represents a concrete opportunity for training and job placement for young people in the area," said Matteo Lorito, Rector of the University of Naples Federico II. Through innovative paths and internships in partner companies, the project aims to create real skills, readily expendable and in any case acquired in a high-quality academic context, capable of effectively connecting young people's aspirations and talents with concrete employment opportunities in sectors suffering from shortages of adequately trained personnel. The Federico II is already involved in similar initiatives in the Campania region and wholeheartedly supports programs capable of generating development and future in areas most at risk of social degradation. Thanks are due to the MUR and Minister Anna Maria Bernini who believed in this project and made it possible. The involvement of Campania's universities is confirmed as an important tool in the affirmation of the Caivano model, built also thanks to the commitment of Commissioner Fabio Ciciliano."
With this project, Caivano is a candidate to become a reference laboratory for social sustainability, demonstrating how training, collaboration between institutions and businesses and the enhancement of local resources can generate real and lasting impact.
"With the Caivano Next Academy, the path of revitalization we are building for the area continues, focusing on young people, the enhancement of local resources and new opportunities for social and employment development," said Mayor Antonio Angelino. The goal is to offer concrete tools, skills and perspectives to a generation that must be able to look to the future with greater confidence and with finally adequate opportunities."
