Nearly 90% of graduates are satisfied with their college experience. Five years after graduation, 93% of master’s degree holders are employed.
Federico II University continues to rank among the universities that successfully combine educational quality with strong employment outcomes. This is according to the 2026 AlmaLaurea Report, which analyzed the educational pathways and career outcomes of graduates from the University of Naples.
In 2025, 12,596 graduates participated in the survey on academic programs: 6,726 bachelor’s degree graduates, 4,376 two-year master’s degree graduates, and 1,494 single-cycle master’s degreegraduates. The picture reveals a university characterized by a strong prevalence of students from high school backgrounds, a growing focus on professional experiences, and a high level of satisfaction with the university experience.
In fact, nearly nine out of ten graduates (89.7%) express a positive opinion of their overall experience at Federico II. 85.2% appreciate their relationship with faculty, while over 82% rate the teaching activities positively. A particularly significant finding concerns loyalty to the University: 75.3% of graduates would choose the same program at the same university again.
The educational experience is enriched through practical activities and opportunities for international growth. 43.1% of graduates completed a curricular internship recognized by their degree program, while 8% participated in international mobility programs. Furthermore, 62.1% of students combined their studies with a job, a sign of growing integration between university education and the workforce.
Indicators of academic success are also positive. The averageage at graduation is 25.4 years, while the average grade is 104.5 out of 110. About half of graduates complete their studies on time.
On the employment front, the Report highlights that the majority of bachelor’s degree graduates choose to continue their studies with a master’s degree. Among those who instead decide to enter the job market directly, the employment rate one year after graduation reaches 73.4%, with an average net salary of €1,393 per month. Over two-thirds of those employed believe that their degree is effective for their professional work.
The results for master’s degree graduates are even more significant. One year after graduation, the employment rate stands at 77.3%, while five years later it rises to 93%, confirming the strong marketability of the skills acquired during university studies. Job stability is also on the rise: over 58% of those employed five years after graduation have a permanent contract. During the same period, the average monthly net salary reaches €1,865.
The alignment between academic studies and professional work represents another significant factor. More than three out of four employed graduates, five years after graduation, consider their degree effective or very effective for their work, while over 60% report making extensive use of the skills acquired during their studies.
