Historical Sciences

The research carried out in the Historical Sciences Section is spread out over a very extended field both from a chronological point of view and a thematic one. It includes ancient history, mediaeval history, modern history, contemporary history, the history of doctrines and political institutions, the history of religions, the history of Christianity and churches, ancient Christian literature; the auxiliary disciplines of history (archive sources, palaeographic, library economics), cultural anthropology, the history of historiography and the methodology of historical research.
