Total enantio- and diastereo-selective syntheses and domino procedures for the production of non-natural carbohydrates. Synthesis of glycomimetics with inhibitory and chaperone activity or as artificial ionophores. Analysis of the glycidic portion of viral glycoproteins. Use of natural or chemically modified carbohydrates in tanning technique.
